Magic Rubber Flexible Rubber Potting Compound for Waterproof Electrical Sealing
Magic Rubber is a fast-curing, two-component flexible rubber potting compound designed for electrical insulation, waterproof sealing, and mechanical protection. After mixing, it cures at room temperature into a flexible, elastic rubber that helps protect electrical connections from water, dust, corrosion, movement, and mechanical stress.
Unlike hard epoxy potting compounds, Magic Rubber remains flexible and re-enterable. This makes it a strong choice for applications where the connection needs long-term protection, but future access may still be required.
- Flexible rubber potting compound for electrical insulation and sealing
- Provides mechanical protection for connections, boxes, closures, and terminal blocks
- Waterproof IP68 protection in proper casings
- Re-enterable after curing, unlike permanent epoxy encapsulation
- High dielectric strength for low-voltage electrical installations up to 1kV
- Fast cross-linking at room temperature
- Suitable for molds, gaskets, nuts, closures, boxes, and cable connection protection
- Suitable for saltwater and chlorinated environments
- REACH and RoHS compliant
Why Choose Magic Rubber?
Magic Rubber is ideal when a standard dielectric gel may be too soft, but a hard epoxy may be too rigid or permanent. It creates a formed rubber body that adds mechanical structure while still remaining flexible and re-enterable.
This makes it useful for electrical boxes, terminal blocks, cable closures, junction boxes, outdoor enclosures, small molds, gaskets, and components exposed to moisture, water, dust, corrosion, saltwater, chlorinated environments, movement, or mechanical stress.

Choose the Right Raytech Product
Use this guide to compare Raytech waterproof electrical protection products by application, serviceability, and installation method.
Magic Gel
Best for: general waterproof potting and electrical insulation.
Choose Magic Gel when you need a dielectric gel for filling an enclosure, junction box, or electrical connection while keeping future access possible.
Magic Power Gel
Best for: reusable waterproof protection.
Choose Magic Power Gel when future access and reusability matter. It is a strong option when the connection may need to be opened and resealed later.
Techno Gelgum
Best for: vibration damping and mechanical hold.
Choose Techno Gelgum when the connection is exposed to movement, vibration, mechanical stress, or demanding submerged conditions. Even suitable for high depths under water.
Magic Rubber
Best for: stronger mechanical structure.
Choose Magic Rubber when you need more structure than a soft gel, but do not want to permanently encapsulate the connection with hard epoxy.
Magic Gel Sprint
Best for: fast curing waterproof potting and electrical insulation.
Choose Magic Gel Sprint when you need a re-enterable dielectric gel with a faster curing time for quicker installations or faster return to service.
Ray Gel
Best for: transparent or UV-resistant waterproof protection.
Choose Ray Gel when you need a low-viscosity dielectric gel with transparent or UV-resistant protection for electrical connections, junction boxes, or installations exposed to UV.
Wonder Gel
Best for: overhead and hard-to-reach junction boxes.
Choose Wonder Gel when you need a ready-to-use cartridge gel for overhead, vertical, or hard-to-reach junction boxes where pouring is difficult or not practical.
Prefilled Gel Boxes
Best for: wire connectors and terminal blocks.
Choose prefilled gel boxes when you want a ready-to-use solution for protecting wire connectors or terminal blocks without mixing, pouring, or curing.
