A pre-filled gel box is a protective enclosure that surrounds a completed electrical connection with insulating gel. Gel Box Line arrives ready filled, so you can protect your existing compatible connector without measuring, mixing or pouring gel.
Does Gel Box Line include the wire connector?

No. Gel Box Line is the pre-filled protective enclosure; the connector is sold separately. Make the electrical connection first, then choose the Gel Box that fits around the completed assembly. If you need the connector included or integrated, compare the other connection systems below.
How do I choose the right Gel Box size?

Start with the completed connector, not the wire gauge. Match the connector body, conductor count and number of connectors to the Connector Fit Guide, then select the enclosure that matches the completed arrangement. The five Gel Box sizes are Isaac, Pascal, Watt, Joule and Kelvin.
What wire types and sizes can I use?

Gel Box Line is suitable for rigid or flexible insulated wires. The electrical connector determines the allowable wire size; the examples on this page span 10 to 16 AWG depending on the connector body and arrangement. Do not select the Gel Box by AWG alone.
Can Gel Box Line be used underground or fully submerged?

Yes. Gel Box Line is suitable for underground use and is fully submersible when correctly installed. The completed accessory is IPX8 officially tested.
Does the gel harden after installation?

No. The G4J gel is extremely soft at 0 Shore 00 and conforms around the connector and conductors instead of curing into a rigid encapsulant.
Can I use a WAGO connector inside Gel Box Line?

Gel Box Line is designed around commonly used connector bodies, including compact lever-style formats. For WAGO or any other connector brand, fit depends on the exact completed connector body and arrangement. Compare the assembled connector to the Connector Fit Guide before ordering.
